This Day

I've been on the fence for way too long
Blind to love, death to the sound of mercy's sound
But still you sing it seems requiring no response
So patiently
You call to me
The sound of wind begins to fill my every thought
I hear the whisper of your Spirit to my heart
You say you love me and you want me to yourself
So I let go
And then I fell

So this day
Help me choose to stake my life
upon your Word and what you say about me
That I've been saved,
and now the life I live, I live for God by faith alone in Jesus Name

I watch the high and lofty place grow taller still
From where I was it seemed the fall would surely kill me
But I look down and see you standing underneath
With open arms awaiting me
I land secure inside your mercy and your grace
My past grow dim as I'm enamored by your face
You give me peace and say it's meant to be this way
So I let go
And then I say

That this day,
I will choose to stake my life upon
your Word and what you say about me
That I've been saved,
and now the life I live, I live for God by faith alone in Jesus Name
So this day,
I will choose to stake my life upon
your Word and what you say about me
That I've been saved,
and now the life I live, I live for God by faith alone in Jesus Name

Oh oh...

Your cross it breaks my fall
You sacrified it all
All so that I could call you Father and draw near again to you
Jesus I give you all
My life memorial
Your heard this sinner's call and answered with your righteousness
Your cross it breaks my fall
You sacrified it all
All so that I could call you Father and draw near again to you
Jesus I give you all
My life memorial
Your heard this sinner's call and answered with your righteousness

So this day,
I will choose to stake my life upon
your Word and what you say about me
That I've been saved,
and now the life I live, I live for God by faith alone in Jesus Name
And this day,
I will choose to stake my life upon
your Word and what you say about me
That I've been saved,
and now the life I live, I live for God by faith alone in Jesus Name.
