Psalm 68 - Remastered

Let God rise up, let his enemies be scattered
Let those who hate him flee before him
Drive them away like smoke
As wax before the fire
Let the wicked perish before God

But let the righteous be joyful
Let them exult before God
Let them be jubilant with joy
Sing to our God, praises to his name
Lift up a song to him who rides upon the clouds"

His name is the Lord—exalt him
Father of orphans protector of the widows in his house
God gives the desolate a home to live
He leads out the prisoners to prosperity
But the rebellious live in a parched land

Let God rise up, let his enemies be scattered
Let those who hate him flee before him
Drive them away like smoke
As wax before the fire
Let the wicked perish before God

O God, when you went before us
Marching through the wilderness, (Mmm)
The earth shook, the heavens poured down rain
At the presence of the God of Sinai

You sent the rain in abundance
You restored your heritage when it was tired; you lived with them
God, you provide for the needy
Great is the company of those who bore the news
"The kings of armies flee!" the Lord commands!

Women divide the spoil
Though they stay among the sheepfolds—
The dove-wings plated silver
Its pinions with green gold
When the Almighty scattered kings there
And the snow fell down on Zalmon
O many-peaked mountain of Bashan
Why do you envy mount Zion?

With mighty chariots, the Lord came
Came from Sinai to the holy place
You ascended the high mount
Led captives in your train
Receiving gifts from rebel people
Rebel people abiding there
Blessed be God daily bearing us up
The Lord is our salvation

Our God's a God of salvation
And to God, the Lord, belongs—belongs escape from death
But God will shatter the heads of foes
The hairy crowns of those who walk in guilty ways

The Lord said, "I will bring them back
"From Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea
"So that you may bathe your feet in blood
"So that your dogs may have their share from the foe."

Your solemn processions are seen, O God
The processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary—
Singers in front, the musicians last
Between them girls playing tambourines
"Bless God in the great congregation, O
"You who are of Israel's fountain!" the least is leading them
It's Benjamin, followed by princes: Judah, and Zebulun, and Naphtali

God has decreed he'll be powerful!
You've acted on our behalf!
God demonstrates your power as you
Come out of your temple in Jerusalem!

Sound battle cries against the wild beasts
The nations gathering like calves
Trampling on those who lust for silver
Scatter the people who delight in war

Let bronze be brought from Egypt
Let Ethiopia hasten
To stretch out hands to God and sing
O kingdoms sing praises to the Lord!

O rider in the heavens hear
He sends out his mighty voice!
Ascribe the power to god whose majesty
Is over all Israel and is in the skies

Awesome is God in his sanctuary
The God of Israel
He gives power and he gives strength to his people
Blessed be God!
