Name It After Me

Lying in my bed.
Listening to the voices in my head.
Questioning my sanity,
while I'm trapped in reality.
The world around me,
they don't see what I see.
They don't care if I lose it all.
I scream but they don't hear me.
They don't see me.
All they do, is talk.

If you hear me,
If you feel me,
Come stand by me tonight.
I'm holding onto strings that were better left to fray.
Hoping I get to see another day.

I see red,
Blinking from a crack in the sheet.
It draws my attention, takes away my sleep,
And I sit here alone listening to the wolves on the street,
As they weep.
I wonder what keeps them awake,
Makes them scream
As the whole world pays no heed to
What causes them distress.
There's nothing for them to hold onto,
Nothing left for them to caress.
I feel like I'm drowning, how the fuck do I breathe?
When everything shouts turmoil,
You're just longing to be free.
As I sit here,
Beneath the wind that forgot to chime,
Trying to write up my tale
But I'm stuck between these rhymes.
It's impossible
For me to express myself without
A shred of self doubt,
But what can I say?
Some things were just meant to be this way.
It's like creation on a piece of dry clay.

If you hear me,
If you feel me,
Come stand by me tonight.
I'm holding onto strings that were better left to fray.
Hoping I get to see another day.

If you hear me,
If you feel me,
Come stand by me tonight.
I'm holding onto strings that were better left to fray.
Hoping I get to see...
