How to Respond

I have a nightmare once in awhile.
I won't be able to care for myself.
How will I respond to these thoughts?
What if I turn them around?
Many things are happening around me.
I don't have to see them as threats.
I respond by saying that
I'm a problem solver in life.
Life is not stable. How can I respond?
Can I turn it into a celebration?
I smile to everything, even to my difficulties.
That's how I create some space.
That's how I respond.
And if I find myself being lazy, I go telling myself:
Make that first move, even if it hurts.
Make the first move, try something new today.

I will stay involved never losing the grip on life.
Not becoming isolated during the hard times.
Volunteer for the game, that's the way to respond.
Building a vision of the future that is attainable.

I respond by keeping it neutral.
I respond with detachment.
In the greater scheme of life how important is this anyway?

A problem exists only when you respond with a negative mind.
Pay attention to the nice things,
that's how you'll turn things around.
Remember to smile when you breathe in.
Don't take yourself seriously.
Despite all the ups and downs, I'm a problem solver in life.
When I hear the alarm clock,
How can I respond?
Can I turn it into a celebration?
I smile to everything even to my difficulties.
I don't have expectations that might bring me down.

I know uncertainty is part of reality.
Don't you act surprised.
Keep on movin' even if it hurts.
Make the first move.
Try something new today.

I will stay involved never losing the grip on life.
Not becoming isolated during the hard times.
Volunteer for the game, that's the way to respond.
Finding a reason everyday for celebration.
