Stale Bedroom

Sitting inside you make excuses to hide
From the sun again
Something slimy drips down your body
And onto your bed

My laziness is like a parasite friend
If I let it in, it'll be here again
And it's so easy to be comfortable
When you forget that fresh air's worth the trouble

When I grow old, I hope I'm that local guy
That you see around
The person that holds and cradles the soul
Of your tiny town

In the nighttime I'll go into the sea
And drink the water
In the morning I will writhe on the beach
Like a baby lamb being prepped for slaughter

The more time I spend in this room
The less I wanna leave
I hate my bed but everything's scary
So I'll just go crazy

If you open the door and see me lying there
I'll look back with a double chin
Cause I've been in this position for a minute
But I don't know how long it's been
