They Died in Agony

They are brought here to die after attempted retreat
To suffer in anguish of which there's no relief
Recant your feelings, dismiss your beliefs
Become one of us, and the misery will cease

Look upon this display of mangled anatomy
Do you want to be like them? They died in agony

We cut off their hands, and torched the wounds
Gave them boiling oil for them to consume
Locked their bodies prostrated in gloom
Before our idols, damning them to doom
Now they can't pray as they did before
Never to utter their God's name anymore
So now you can see what you have in store
Embrace your new God, let his will be yours

What does it take to make the people comply?
Your religion is fading and its leaders have died
Your faith was worthless, it's not hard to imply
After your temples and prophets are swept aside

To resist at this point, is sheer insanity
Freedom for your faith, or die in vanity

Betray your honor, don't give into the lies
If your God was strong, the others would've survived
Don't condemn yourself to die so needlessly
Don't throw yourself into hell, live peacefully
The others will kill you if you don't give in
Is thinking about yourself considered a sin?
To waste your youth is such a miserable tragedy
If you don't give in you will die in agony
You will die in agony
You will die in agony like they died in agony
