Trapped

The rain had died away
He finished his last glass of the day
To stumble to the silent alley way
To get his knees capped
To get his life back
To get out of the trap

Three men appear and he is gripped with fear
But he's not running away
Do as they say, in the narrow ally way
Lie down
Face away
And let the pain engulfs your brain

His memory returns while the pain still burns
He could not restrain those easy gains
His love did not agree, and he couldn't see
That he fooled himself into believe
He was the one they couldn't deceive
The street is hard and air feels cold
As his story is being told
