Pray for Paris

At the crack of dawn
A baby cries for his young mom
This morning at Bataclan
We learned she is gone
In his Mama's skirt
Runs the slow, grey-watered Seine
Paris wrote her secrets there
Sang lullaby's to him
Smell her French perfume in the rain
Sipping a coffee - an outdoor cafe
Lets Pray for Paris
Have faith that God will hear us
For all our friends who died
And the ones who survived
And give Love a chance
As we say "Veve la France"
Let's pray for Paris
And for peace
Worldwide
The dark clouds have gathered
But we are not afraid
Like the Arc de Triomphe
For freedom we give thanks
Always in our hearts
Pink sweater, black flats and skirt
Though a photograph remains
We won't forget her pain

Smell her French perfume in the rain
Sipping a coffee - an outdoor café

Let's Pray for Paris
Have faith that God will hear us
For all our friends who died
And the ones who survived
And give Love a chance
As we say "Veve la France"
Let's pray this Christmas
For peace
Worldwide
Pray for peace worldwide

In French: They may have taken our lives but they will never take our souls
