Borrowed Time

Alcohol means the world to me
When there's nothing that seems to make things right
Within the walls of the infirmary
Desperate for a drink, just trying to survive

And in my hour of need
Where i was looking for distraction
I simply wanted to resign
And leave it all behind

Our home just down the street
Was built upon our dreams and wasted time
How come after all those years
I'm getting closer to the point where i would leave it all behind

And in my hour of need
Where i was looking for distraction
I simply wanted to get out
The doctors told me to hang on
To keep it all together
We are closer to the point where we will figure something out

Beg steal or borrow
Whatever it takes
Like there's no tomorrow
Even if it's borrowed time

I don't know who will come for me
When things start going from bad to worse
I shoot the walls of the infirmary
While waiting on a friend that will never stop by

My legs and arms are heavy
And the walls they start to spin
Lying smack-dab in the middle of the floor
There's constant ringing in my ears
I can't keep myself together
I'm done with all this crap, I can't take it anymore

Beg steal or borrow
Whatever it takes
Like there's no tomorrow
There's no tomorrow
