Nice Problem to Have

On my way to pick up my girl
Take her to a movie and dance
She told me not to be late again
She'd give me this one last chance
Going on seven, I'll be there soon
Turn up the radio, sing to the tune
Suddenly there's a spit and a sputter
My old Dodge stalls, runs out of gas
Well, you can imagine what I'm thinking
Boy, what a nice problem to have

I'm in the middle of no where
Not a soul around for miles
This time I thought I had it made
Was gonna see her pretty smile
Decided to walk or wait for a car
Soon my thoughts will fade into the dark
Either way, this didn't look good
This situation certainly is sad
I just can't seem to win for losing
Oh what a nice problem to have

This time I wasn't out racing
Or having fun with the boys
But she'll be making
A whole lotta noise
Should have thought about
Getting some fuel
Cause my gal sure can be
Stubborn as a mule

Along comes an eighteen wheeler
Sure is a sight for these sore eyes
One look at me, yeah, he understands
Then says, "Better the truth than lies"
I agree, tell him my story of bad luck tonight
How she's gonna give me a piece of her mind
He says, "Son, don't you worry"
Once she settles, she'll be so glad
Once she knows you really made an effort
Then oh, what a nice problem to have
