Somewhere Far Beyond Us

I simply can't deny all that I know
And make it all become not true somehow
It's unbelievable yet physical
It takes our dreams and makes them tangible
It makes this life livable

Yet, I can never quite seem to explain
About the spirit voices that I hear
Most people wonder if I've gone insane
It causes most of them to leave in fear
That type of conversation isn't comfortable

It comes from somewhere
Somewhere far
Somewhere far beyond us

When you see doors appearing in your dreams
Can you interpret what you think it means
Was it a door to clear and open skies
Or some place that you recognize
What consequence it brings how could you realize

If a three-headed black dog appears
Does it witness crimes in human tears
If an object glowed at you in blue
What did that glow signify to you
If a red flag makes you appear wise
Did it help to open up your eyes

Within the state between awake and sleep
Did you feel spirits there that shook you deep
And now are you afraid to ask what's real
How do you quite explain just how you feel
Without making them think you're weird or just a creep
