Billy the Goon

While sitting in his cell, doing 7 to 11
His scratching on the wall says"all the dogs will go to heaven"
He was pushing his luck but wasn't doing it right
That's why he's locked up on a Saturday night

Billy was a poor boy, he was brought up by the streets
And in school on a recess s he got beat up by the kids
In the evening he was hungry, he had nothing to eat
And at night he would often, just cry himself to sleep

If Every bruise was worth a dollar billy would be rich
He would still be walking free if that teller didn't snitch
If a nickel was a diamond and shame was paid in gold
He'd be laughing pretty hard but that's not what I've been told

The neighborhood watch, called him billy the goon
He's just helping everyone from the hills down to lagoon
Martha took his hard work and a little bit more
The night he lost his life Billy even lost his Soul
Billy, Billy, he reached for the moon
I say, Billy, billy the goon
Billy, Billy, he reached for the moon
I say, Billy, billy the goon
Billy, Billy, he reached for the moon
I say, Billy, billy the goon
Billy, Billy, he reached for the moon
I say, Billy, billy the goon

If Every bruise was worth a dollar
He would still be walking free
If a nickel was a diamond
He'd be laughing pretty hard
