Trajectory

Across and to throw
Thrown across the cosmos
By the cross that cost most and affected any and all who would boast
With confidence in the God who started it all

My trajectory was set by the Word
Even if I couldn't hear it I have been given a path to observe
My flight plan was plotted by the one who created the concept of flight
While speaking into existence the Light
A ballistic body being free to move
Subject only to the forces I subject myself to, I choose not the path but the Paver
Fully understanding this Way Maker has devised a line that lies
Beyond what my poor eyes can find, I subject myself to his force
I understand his paving and beating is the source for my every craving and need
He of course is at my beginning and ending and though I am a weak one to endorse
He does it over and over with no remorse

What sort of God is this who sets in motion the hearts and destinies of man
But still intervenes at our faith filled command
A sovereign servant who said what should be done and then did what we couldn't to make it so
He is Captain of an enterprise that intertwines generations
Nations, stations, and varying gradations of faith for his glory and good pleasure
Yet he still sets down to measure the daily growth of my fingernails and hair follicles
He never fails to chronicle every detail of my being
He's watching and calculating my resistance to the air- the true battle lies there Ephesians 6
He's armed and armored me with everything I need to meet the enemy's tricks
He knows how high my arc could go. His aim is that I would go and return
