Darlington Station

My girlfriend came up for a day
We had a good time, but she had to go away
So I took her to the pub for a farewell drink
We had a little talk, we had a little think
We got into the car, I drove her to the station
Then panic set in, with the sudden realisation

There's no toilet in Darlington Station
There's no toilet in Darlington Station

Well this all got me thinking as the train it pulled away
And a little trickle down my leg, well it took the pain away
How could they have built this place, with no consideration
For all those Victorian values, this was the first railway station

Still, there's no toilet in Darlington Station
There's no toilet in Darlington Station

World's gettin' crazy
Stuff's gettin' hazy
No one is trying
They are all gettin' lazy

Cars in the car park
Where is the White Shark?
Flying in a Fiat
Or cruising in a fish cart

Who cares about it?
Who makes it easy?
It's all a wind-up
Makin' me queazy

Do I buy a ticket?
Where do I stick it?
Peel off the back
Or find someone to lick it?

We can do it, with a bit of concentration
With a bit of thought, and a bit of application
I think this project needs some contemplation
Save the world from total constipation

Put a toilet in Darlington Station
Oh, put a toilet in Darlington Station
Oh, put a toilet in Darlington Station
There's no toilet in Darlington Station
