Secretplace

I know it's hard in this day and time
Trying to find time to recline and get peace of mind
So much crime the economy is on the decline
The Secretplace is peace though
Food for your mind piece
So let the chaos cease
Along with the confusion
We're all on our grind
So many cats are steady losing
So many aren't using but abusing their fame
So many don't know that this life ain't a game
I had to get back to the days of the brim hat
Tilted to the side with my cool laid back
Before the cookie cutter
Just a skinny cat with no act
Like I'm strapped to attack
The Secretplace is like a treasure map set to a track
Call me Ponce de Leon
This ain't fiction it's fact
And the treasure that I've found
Is called the fountain of Truth
Some call it Living Water
I just call it the Proof

The Secretplace
The Secretplace

The Secretplace
The Secretplace

The Secretplace is a not a riddle or a puzzle nor a mystery
It's clear effective communication spoken specifically
To relay wisdom passed down through antiquity
Embedded in hip hop
The universal solvent
Like minerals to water
These are gems of riches
Passed down from The Father
To empower envision
Maybe this will stimulate
More concepts collected
In the hop hop collective archive
Of what's considered respected of the hip hop perspective
Where excellent word play lyrical artistic skills are implemented
With the work ethic type double space
Double spaced and indented
For those who play closer attention
Both cure and prevention is true ascension
Above the law of sin and death
The emptiness of the flesh
Hedonist acts and the stacks of cash that came with
The Secretplace is like the cave of the Prophet Elijah
Disappointed with this world he desired to retire
Then the still small voice rose after the fire
And said 'The time has come for Elisha'
The Secretplace is for the one who comes after
May his face age gracefully with gentle wrinkles of laughter
The brightest stars grow more brilliant with age
The tragic legends die young and are immortalized on the page
If foolishness should take my life
I pray the ink don't fade
Common sense is much better
I put my wisdom in letters
My meditations in music
In the Secretplace i put it together
