Cranial Myiasis

Death from inside, my skull, infested with maggots
Raging uncontrolled, abscess created
Feasting on my brain, pain, my head rots away
Torturing my mind, Cranial decay

Blood fills my body
Fluids secrete from the pores of my flesh
Devouring my corpse
Vestige of decayed remains

Down inside, maggots crawl
Pain, Incessant, unyielding they maul

Let me die!

Unrelenting attack, engulfing they colonize
They feed on me, Conceive my inevitable demise

Burrowing through the rancid flesh
Deteriorating life subsides
Reducing me to a comatose state
The larvae within me reside

Contorting my body, rapid descent
Convulsive, turgid flesh
Collapsing my corpse, emaciated
I gradually wither away

Fertile remains become of the earth
Epitaph of bones mark my grave
Putrid the stench contaminates the dirt
Corporeal life denied

Indigenous of soil, an innate rebirth
Altered in form I return to the earth
Dust to dust, Ash to ash
