You and I are a million miles away
But we remain adjoined

Forces harsh, fighting soul to soul
But they too sit and lie

Some will starve, some will give their heart
Some will turn their backs and some will fall apart
Some will pave the way, for others to be free
Some will sit in silence, but oh no that's not me

The earth is lonely, she cries not for herself
She cries for life above

The skies are bright, they fill our lonely days
But the sun never shines

Some will hide, their passion must not speak
Some will carry flags, to hurt those that they seek
Some will make us strong, Some will look away
When others try to save, they'll care less what they say

Lies they wait, for the weak and for the blind
The truth is held in chains, there's poison in the mind
Nothing will change, the hell that lies ahead
The noble and the kind are sitting with the dead

So look up to the sky, at night when stars do shine
You'll still see the bright light

The fire burns within, there is no more reprieve
