Drunk and Forgotten

I saw a woman in a bar last night, she was lookin' mighty fine
I walked up next to her had fed her my best line
She turned around and she looked at me, and said, You really think your cool
But all you really are to me is another drunken fool

I tapped the poor boy standing next to me and said hey bud she's talkin' to you
Then I made my way to the bathroom door to make room for another brew
I watered the lilies then open the door, to find a old friend lyin' there on the floor
I said Hey man what the hell has happen to you

He said the wind blew and the bull crap flew, I was only here for a day or two
Next thing ya know I was drunk and forgotten

The light were dim and it was hard to see, when lo and behold standing next to me
Was a girl... That looked just like my destiny
I dropped my beer and took a double take, 'cause I'm tellin' ya man this ain't no fake
This girl... shoulda' been the angel in my centerfold
I smiled at the angel with the devil in mind, but if she knew what i was thinkin' it the end of the line
And right then that gal said to me... I think you're a jerk

I was 'bout to complain about her attitude, when up walked this big old mountain of a dude
I thought oh my gosh... we've just found the missing link
He pointed at me and said I'm gonna kill you, and by the look in his eye I could tell it was true
And I'd be dead right now if that gal hadn't puked on his shoe

That was the break I was lookin' for, but as I was headed out toward the door
I heard a cry, a moan and a wail and I had to turn back
That big ole boy was just standing there, and my destiny had vanished into thin air
And through his tears I thought I heard him say

The wind blew and the bull crap flew, I was only here for a day or two
Next thing ya know I was drunk and forgotten
