I used to rap about the things I thought that I knew
That was way back then when I was part of a group
In them soundproof days boy we thought we was cooI
I hope nothing but the best for every one of them dudes

Part me wish it did but it didn't work out
And I ain't talking about the group that's for the mother my child
Whats different between me and you really starting to show
Sometimes them comfort zones are people you gotta outgrow

Think I found myself when I made me co parent
Got joint custody so he'll always have both parents
Had Son an that really gave life a new perspective
Got a daughter on the way now I'm over protective

As a collective we really misconstrued the message
Cause chasing clout matters more then even being respected
Make sure them kids don't lose integrity over acceptance
Real life is better than trying to live for others perceptions

Now everything that I know ain't what I thought that knew
Cause every look like the same monkey See monkey do
They'll believe any caption even if ain't true you
Keeping up with so n so just so they keep up with you

What look better with baby the beige or the white
