Whitewood

Like a snake
Coiled up as a spring
Lost your mind in suspense
And threw all caution to the wind
I wander down through the woods
To clear my mind of the thoughts
And by the base of a flood
Is where i stumble headfirst
Keep yourself clean-fall in a daydream
It's what you've got to show and not what they perceive
Seek solace in your blood
And a house to call a home
It's easier to achieve when going slow
But you don't know
Strike the heath
Swilling smoke neath the trees
I never learn from the mistakes always encompassing me
Keep well and cleanse your woes
With cigarettes for the stroll
While you wade in the ford
You thought you'd lost since youth
But it starts to seep through your soul
I'll wake you up in the afternoon
I'd never waste conversation
Always ask how you are
If this fear's existential what's the point in the words?
Cause i'm feeling so faulty in the ways i behave
Hope tomorrow has the means
Split the dark with matches and kerosene
