99 Oranges

Ninety-nine oranges hung from the wall
From what i recall they won't last til fall
But for now let's just pass one around

Friends turn into interns and they hit the highway
I stay busy too I contemplate which Friday
Today is and how long this weekend will last
In turn, I internalize

Now i have nothing going on
And i don't care what show is on
And i don't miss the kids at all
They don't have time to return my call
And i am home again

Soaking up ambition I spilled in the driveway
Talking to my friends so they can hear what I say
Let them know I'm busy all the time
One down
I should take a break now
Drain it out
Who wants work to complain about
Got no time and I'll tell you why

Now i have no thing go ing on
And i don't care what show is on
And I don't miss the kids at all
They don't have time to return my call
And i am fooled again

Ninety-nine oranges hung from the wall
From what I recall they will not last til fall
It's all the same night and day
I must be brave when I say
Say it with me now

Now i have no thing go ing on
And i don't care what show is on
And I don't miss the kids at all
They don't have time to return my call
And i am home again
