One Horse Town

I've been out on the highway and I've seen a lot of sights
None of them could make me settle down
Working jobs at old truck stops sleeping on the ground
You could say I've been around

Big city lights could never match the stars that shine
Sunsets and steel just ain't the same
Sitting round the campfire telling stories to my friends
Listening to the sound of summer rain

As long as there's a porch where I can play guitar
As long as moon and stars keep shining down
As long as there's a pickup truck that I can drive around
I'll stay in this one horse town

A man could drift forever trying to figure his own life out
There's a lot of stories on the road
The feelings of a country boy can never die they say
I knew I could never stay away

Big city lights could never match the stars that shine
Sunsets and steel just ain't the same
Sitting round the campfire telling stories to my friends
Listening to the sound of summer rain

As long as there's a porch where I can play guitar
As long as moon and stars keep shining down
As long as there's a pickup truck that I can drive around
I'll stay in this one horse town
