My Own Little Place

Got up this morning
Put my two feet flat on the floor
I know it's not much, But it's got my name on the door
It's a two bedroom flat
With wood grain walls it's got a single bath just down the hall
It's my own little place, not the TajMahal
I don't have to paint It's got vinyl on it's sides
A new roof on her, when the last owner said goodbye
It's got sod on the lawn, a basketball court
A driveway right up to the front door
It's my own little place, It's what I can afford

It's my own little place
That suits me just fine
I'm keeping it simple most of the time
It's A much better way, it's a perfect design
I love living here, It's a home thats all mine
Some people say, "you deserve much more then this"
I say to myself "why scratch, if you ain't got the itch"
Keeping It simple, is the thing to do
Why bite off more then you can chew
It's my own little place, that your invited to

I had to change my mind, I sold that place and moved on
I meet a pretty women that really turn's me on
We found a new place outside of town
We fell in love, we're braking new ground
It's a much bigger space, now it's her's and mine

It's a much bigger space
That suits us just fine
We're keeping it simple most of the time
It's a much better way, it's a perfect design
We love living here, It's a home thats half mine
Got up this morning, put my two feet flat on the floor
Got much more then what I ever bargained for
We're happy this way, Any time of day
Won't you please stop in if you are passing our way
Your welcomed to stay, at our own little place
