They Sold Me Rice

Deep down in the jungle
Is where this story starts
I was fighting a holy war but
I didn't have the heart

To kill a man in cold blood so I
Decided to depart
Thinking I could get back home
Somewhere, someway, somehow

I ended up in the ruins
Of some ancient tribal cult
They asked me if I knew them
And then they took my ammo belt

They wore masks of woodwork
Bright green and red hues
We built a great friendship
When I told them I make shoes

So they sold me rice
I did not think twice
Things just seemed so nice
Now diamonds plague my mind

Were they stealing spirits?
The spells are all around
Dolls, fish eyes and monkeys fists
Capture the souls of the damned

They showed me their mines then
Full of gems of every kind
Thinking I could be just like them
I do not know why

So they sold me rice
I did not think twice
Things just seemed so nice
Now diamonds plague my mind

To this story, there's no moral
I just had to tell
The reason that my mind is gone
I swear I don't need help
