Binding Spell

I called you once and when you didn't answer, thought something was wrong
I never heard from you the rest of my life, listening to the hum
Of radios long out of sync they crack and squeal and spit all night
Recalling yesteryears and all of those lost moments in respite

Aimlessly walk around and stumble to shop that I once knew
Too many people there, we turned back and I found myself confused
It only had a hint of magic now, the particles the dust
Threw ever thing into a frenzy, knowing not what I could trust

When I start to slide that lock or when scanning the TV
I can feel your spirit next to me

And stirring in my sleep, keeps scoring all my nights a binding spell
Of sorts with no new news and coffee that I've had a million times
Familiar voices, that concern you though you'll never tell
But endlessly repeat the motions that you always speak to break the line
