The Dreaming

Dust and the dark
I've got to hold on
Though I fear that I soon will be dead
If not before dawn
Before dawn

This wretched road rubble
The screams of the sea
Of all the survivors
There are two loyal to me
I must make my way
This place is the key
I stumble and fall

A knock at the door
My brother's insist
With one touch of this parchment I own, I'll begin to exist

The coma's undone
Your daughter still lives
I offer protection
Her fate has been fixed
From shadows I hide
Desperate to bridge
The ones that have gone
The dreaming unhinged

This is my house, an evil place
Do I dare to come in with no hope of escape
A new darkness falls across the land
It slowly creeps in all the silt and the sand
The windows nailed shut, the trapdoor locked tight
Visitors moving out there in the night
A vision from hell, ghostly and gaunt
With eyes full of teeth, a predator stalks

And nightmares I cry
It starts tonight!
