Wasted Sun

We were a misfit clique
Stuck between hicks and mob raised kids
Young and naive to think that there's more than life to this
Before everything I did was juts a means to the end
Contradicting whats cool like we're allergic to trends
Taxes and RSPs seemed so far away
I never had a single doubt that we'd stay

So as I sit on the escarpment
And hope that I fall off
You're getting high in the apartment
Something feels so off

Soaking up that wasted sun

Sometimes my head doesn't feel so great
Some days I wanna sit back and disassociate
And try and pretend like we're not the generation that god forgot
We tried so little and that's what we got
No motivation relocation you can follow if you want to
I'm just content being a loser and I think that's great

So as I sit on the escarpment
And hope that I fall off
You're getting high in the apartment
Something feels so off
And now another summer's over
Seems we pissed it away
And now you're crying on my shoulder
We only get so many days

Soaking up that wasted sun
