Carried Home

One of His sheep is missing
He knows which one it is
Wandering in search of a pasture more green
Led astray from within once again

Sometimes I get so nearsighted
Can't seem to see which way is right
I get lost in the darkness so far away from home
But the Shepherd will search all night

I was Carried Home by the Shepherd
Gathered up in his arms of love
He found me in a place no lamb should ever go
I had fallen but he lifted me up

I would wander so far from His presence
But He'd find me wherever I'd roam
He'd climb any mountain search the valleys below
When he found me he carried me home

I don't know why you love me
I only think of myself
I chase after dreams that only fade away
Things I've done I'm ashamed to tell

Will I ever learn to listen
You told me it would be this way
You brought me to my knees to show me who I am
Then you told me that you love me anyway
