Odessa Left Town

Odessa left town so fast
Bright blue days of summer
A few friends called
With nothing much to say

We all saw it coming
Really no surprise
Off to 'Frisco
City by the bay

Everybody knew that she was leaving
Everybody knew including me
No one really wants to talk about it
And she's the only one... who thinks she's free

I've been writing letters
I throw 'em all away
Doesn't really matter anyway

I'm just getting angry

I'm no good at what to do or say
