Innocence Gone

When did this change
Did my guiltlessness fade
Cause now I'm to blame
Although I feel the same
What's happened to me
What's responsibility
And now immediately
I should know everything

Life doesn't seem fair
At least now I'm aware

I don't know why
With this passage of time
Things that were fine
Had to change in my life
And now all they say
Is to do things I hate
So I graduate
And can be something great

What does that even mean
I bet its not what it seems

Moving forward but dropping breadcrumbs
Hoping I find my way back where I came from
But in the end what's the difference
Cause my innocence has gone to ignorance

I guess with knowledge comes
The realization of
The fact that I don't really know anything
I have a lot to learn
And bridges not to burn
And if I stop to think it really is humbling
I would have never guessed
It might be for the best
That I have this opportunity
To be so much more
Than I was before
That's the risk when you give up immunity

Moving forward but dropping breadcrumbs
Hoping I find my way back where I came from
But in the end what's the difference
Cause my innocence has gone to ignorance
