Significance

How will I know that it matters when all this is gone?
How will I tell you how I feel when I'm out of songs?
How will I taste the meaning when figures depart?
With what will I gauge the eternal pursuit of the heart?

Born in the quite of night, they will stand out before me
Conceived in a hushed recollection, now they will roar
Sheltered among the illusions, and grand resignations
I'm recovering, and realize, they've kept me safe once more

How long do you stand on the banks of a lake the you've sailed upon?
And still I depend on your eyes for a picture of me
It's not until after the splendor that I feel the worth
That should be belonging a soul by the virtue of birth

The purpose of all these exchanges; repair and amend
Calling upon them to satisfy my needy demand
The thrill that befalls me gives way to a muffled remorse
Until the following victory to guide my eternal recourse

Oh significance...
