Moon (Crescent, Half, & Full)

Run as fast as you can don't you dare turn around they will catch you
Let the adrenaline take you to places you've never imagined
Oh what a beautiful thing it is feeling your heart pound your chest
No matter what all it means is at least you can feel something at all

Now that I have been to there and back I can peacefully sleep at night under the stars and the moon
I know it will be just fine when the day ends, and I can see the crescent moon in the black sky above me
As I start drifting away

The realization the days aren't here to stay is only the inception
Think about the life in the years rather than the years in the life

This ephemeral and fleeting life won't ever be back again
Do as you want; not as you're told, and you may find mitigation

All we have is right now, so slow down and look up at the stars
Simulation or not it shouldn't make a difference at all

Don't go blocking the light now I'm still only half way through to you
When you get back there may be something else entirely

The earth blocking the sun from the moon is only an illusion
Just like when I see your face and wake up to learn it was a dream

We're only a pale blue dot, but the moon is full tonight
In case you did not hear me, everything will be alright
Until we all burn to death, but let's not talk about that
What are we supposed to do now that we are approaching the point of catastrophe for you and me?
Let's keep eating and believing and refusing and undoing everything we have in this world
We'll all be dead by then, so let's keep ignoring the surfeit
Money hungry pigs need to be slaughtered and butchered and fed to all
The pigs act in vain, but they won't die in it until it's too late
