Romantic Gesture

Seeking sanity on a serpents tongue
Usually it comes with the ones we love
Trying to seperate love and lust
Fall in deeper every time we fuck
This was my romantic gesture
The one that sounds like a lie
Needing eyes that follow you
Associate a name with pain
Your world without it
Half truths fills the void
Let them fill their pockets with suffering
In summer and I smoked cigarrettes trying to forget her
At night darkness wets your throat
I still love her but can we go now?
Nothing to say so we speak with our eyes
We feel it through a smile
Sometimes we do that without crying or lying
Fear at the edge of the world
This is my permanent reality
Stories float from your mouth
I drown it with the background noise and I hear nothing
Your actions make you more beautiful
I know it's the world that did this
Look some wounds can almost kill
I feel this shortness too
It causes all of my paranoia
That's why I'll never hide from you
