A Mother's Love

As the year draws to an end I am bound in deep reflections
I'm older now and colder now and searching for direction
There were times when I was lost and I knew not where to go
Then a voice rang through the fog and the light began to show
Sure as the sun shines from above
There is no greater gift than a mother's love

A mother's love can make the world seem right
A mother's love can soothe a broken heart
A mother's love is a better choice, a guiding voice
When you don't know where to go
As sure as the sun shines from above
There is no great gift than a mother's love

When the world gets rough and out of control
I know there's a place to go
Within my heart resides a home with a foundation made of stone
And the rain will fall and the wind will blow
And the water may start to rush
But it can't wash away a house made of love
Rain, wind, and water ain't enough
As sure as the sun shines from up above
There is no greater gift then a mother's love

A mother's love can make the world seem right
A mother's love can soothe a broken heart
A mother's love is a better choice, a guiding voice
When you don't know where to go
As sure as the sun shines from above
There is no great gift than a mother's love
