Aphrodite's Love
Aphrodite watched
As the young girl lost her life
A Love she helped build
A happy man and wife
"Do we meddle too much?"
The goddess asked herself
"Do the mortals need Olympus' touch
Should we just let them help themselves?"
Aphrodite called over
The messenger Hermes
And told him of the wife
And of the husband's plight
"You must tell him of her fate
The poor man must know
And then we lead him straight to Hades
To see her once more before she goes
As the young girl lost her life
A Love she helped build
A happy man and wife
"Do we meddle too much?"
The goddess asked herself
"Do the mortals need Olympus' touch
Should we just let them help themselves?"
Aphrodite called over
The messenger Hermes
And told him of the wife
And of the husband's plight
"You must tell him of her fate
The poor man must know
And then we lead him straight to Hades
To see her once more before she goes
