White Feather
I saw a white feather floating
In an ocean of freshwater suns
It seemed to lack all the fear and the loathing
That torments us, the mortal ones
It was sailing away from it's origin
The wing of a weary old swan
Heading to merge with all again
Straight into a pink little cloud, in the dawn
Then a late winter breeze starts whispering
Invites the swan, come dance with me a waltz
Instead a thousand feathers are throw in
Into the air and surrounds me, a mortal one
I seek to grasp to see to understand
What lies beyond this swan, this mind, this man
I look so deep and the deeper I go
The less I fear the truth I feel I know
Now a thousand feathers are floating
In an ocean of freshwater suns
Scattered by the waves and thus wielding
Individual pathways into the divine
See how they ease in their existence
A wave's a path not a mountain to climb
Perhaps now I see what we're missing
That nothing real ever dies
I seek to grasp to see to understand
What lies beyond this swan, this mind, this man
I look so deep and the deeper I go
The less I fear the truth I feel I know
In an ocean of freshwater suns
It seemed to lack all the fear and the loathing
That torments us, the mortal ones
It was sailing away from it's origin
The wing of a weary old swan
Heading to merge with all again
Straight into a pink little cloud, in the dawn
Then a late winter breeze starts whispering
Invites the swan, come dance with me a waltz
Instead a thousand feathers are throw in
Into the air and surrounds me, a mortal one
I seek to grasp to see to understand
What lies beyond this swan, this mind, this man
I look so deep and the deeper I go
The less I fear the truth I feel I know
Now a thousand feathers are floating
In an ocean of freshwater suns
Scattered by the waves and thus wielding
Individual pathways into the divine
See how they ease in their existence
A wave's a path not a mountain to climb
Perhaps now I see what we're missing
That nothing real ever dies
I seek to grasp to see to understand
What lies beyond this swan, this mind, this man
I look so deep and the deeper I go
The less I fear the truth I feel I know
