There Was A Bar
There was a bar in east Berlin
This bar called 25
Where freaks went in to celebrate themselves
And party every night
Til the sun filled the place up with light
There was a bar made out of wood
And love and dreams
A mystic place where you forget your tears
As soon as you stepped in
You felt like in another world
And often it was hard to leave
There was a river floating by
Which brought lots of good vibes
Sitting on a swing with your nose up in the wind
And when you sniffed it deep inside
It made some new energy rise
And made you love and sing and dance
And sometimes cry
There was a bar in east Berlin
This bar called 25
Where freaks went in to celebrate themselves
And party every night
Til the sun filled the place up with light
But after 7 years the devil found the bar
An old guy with money blinded eyes
As soon as he stepped in
He felt like in another world
And the money came back to his mind
About this culture he aint gave a fuck
Made clean what was ruff
And this place was something he wanted to get
So he send of some boats over the river to attack
But the people from the bar fight back
Far more than you would expect
Came together to fight the devil
And sometimes it looked like they would win
But its sad so sad how this story ends
Cause this is the end of bar 25
There is no more bar in east Berlin
No friends are dancing there tonight
And when I look back i miss those lovely times
With this girl in my arms
Next to the river all day all night
It makes me sad so sad that this bar is gone
Ill miss the place next to the river in east Berlin
You know why?
It makes me sad so sad that this place is gone
I miss the bar next to the river in east Berlin
You know why?
It makes me sad so sad that this bar is gone
I hope one day there will be another one
This bar called 25
Where freaks went in to celebrate themselves
And party every night
