Winter Day in Spring

How did it come to this?

You don't wanna go out in just that vintage vest
You'll hypothermiate and flunk old Mother Nature's test
Some bozo fell asleep beside the weather vane
We've dressed up for the Sun but the Sun thinks we're insane

It's a winter day in spring

We're four months through the New Year but nothing seems to change
The temperature's an iceberg, the trees are dead and strange
The calendar ain't lying but I can't feel the truth
Those warm and fuzzy days, oh, we wasted in our youth

It's a winter day in spring

We gotta find a sauna and take the bitch by force
Defend it day and night while we boil and sweat of course
Plug it in till summer which will surely feel like fall
Survival of the fittest in the toxic greenhouse brawl

It's a winter day in spring

How did it come to this?
