In the Face of the Flames

I used to walk with the worlds fire inside of me
Now I walk with Christ inside of the fire thats refining me
I was the creator of my destiny-hells Fire was all I could see
Now I got that Holy Ghost inferno-I'm burning brightly
Pumping through my veins is the resurrection power
A child of the Light to maintain in the darkest hour
Puddles getting deep-there's no deception of His showers
I am a water walker upon this faith-its breathless how I
Go from one step and then I take the next
With The Son locked in my sight- I march to death
To do just one thing-sacrifice the flesh
And drown out the world that's bred in me through righteousness
I was once a loner-cold hearted and a stoner
A wrecking ball chained to the floor rolling over
Then Jesus found me completely hopeless and broken
He set me free and began to raise me up as His souldier

We gonna bring the Truth like Mary delivered Jesus!
And Bring it back in style to bear fruit in all seasons!
Holy Ghost water walking and fire breathing!
Victory bells ringing for freedom and that's the reason
There is a season for all things according to my Father
No matter the heat I count it joy to bring Him honor
And praise Him in the face of the weather of the fallen
And give Him all the glory for even raising this toddler

Im giving God the praise in the face of my demons
And I take up my cross to bear the weight of all the reasons
That I should have been left for dead back in 15
But His grace is abundant so He resurrected me
I'm only living to deliver the life of Jesus
Through the gospel of His love and pure peace
I'm on a journey with the living God who died for me
As He walks me out of Hell only to deliver me
Into the hands of the Father although I may falter
No matter the weather and as the fire gets hotter
I choose to let it purify through faith that pleases God
And apply His Holy Word as I combat temptation off
Through the days He's ordained for me to even breathe
And appointed me to speak while I stand on these two feet
I receive the calling on my life-a warrior for Christ
Regardless of the cost through these fires I am a Light

At times it's hard to breathe and I can't even see through the smoke
Overcome by what I'm feeling and emotions only provoke
The anger in who I used to be makes me wanna choke
And takes me to a place of defeat now the old me awoke
To invoke a Civil War between the spirit and this flesh
But He stokes the coals beneath my feet to feed it death
Cause my ways hit the highway the day I met The Savior
So now I walk through the furnace of hell as it blazes
Unscathed and the worlds amazed that there is no evidence
Of what He's saved me from-only a testament!
For the battles overcome and the giants heads in His possession
He's raised me from a child in the world to be a reverend
Leading my fellow soldiers through the fire that sanctifies
Pouring out His love to put out flames of the devils lies
My Kings deemed His demise and rose to the skies
Lighting up The Kingdom as His Fire flies!
