Partly Alone

Another poem, another way to say
The same thing; I repeat myself all day

The same depression, another year
The same pains keep me in my head all day

Through all the progress I may make
Collecting pieces as they break
I still want a handsome face
To lie with me in my disgrace

I'm becoming more whole
Though I'm still wholly alone

Another song for us to sing to
On the drive home voices float right out the window

You know the words, you know the feeling
Of this half-cracked life, connections fleeting

Through the progress I may make
Collecting pieces as they break
I still want a handsome face
To lie with me in my disgrace

I'm becoming more whole
Though I'm still partly alone
