First in Line
I'm the only one in line but one begins to form behind me at the public information booth
I came down here to find the truth behind this so called credit I was given at the record store
But the patron at the counter wore a face of long indifference to all our precious time
And the woman positioned behind me kept inching closer to me as if she could pass through me
And her toes then did touch my heels and I fell backwards consciously
Reduced that box of new LPs
Confess it voluntarily
And I spoke

And the woman positioned behind me kept inching closer to me as if she could pass through me

Reduced that box of new LPs
