Christmas on the Moon

Well I dropped into Starbucks to give myself a lift
The French girl spelled my name wrong but I'm used to it these days
And as I was leaving, spread hand on the door
I felt suddenly offended by the Christmas decor
Cause it's still November and it's twenty degrees
I could run around naked outside and I still wouldn't freeze
Well call me old fashioned but I feel like Charlie Brown
Cause corporate Christmastime is stressing me out

Well baby this Christmas here's what we'll do
We can pack all our bags up and live on the moon
We can sing carols through the two week long night
And kiss under the mistletoe in the earthlight

A German Christmas market seems a bit premature
There's adults in elf costumes I'm trying hard to ignore
Well one gets my attention, says he's a desperate dad
He's only working this second job cause his kid wants an iPad

We'll get away from all the money
To a lunar world made out of cheese
And though you might think it sounds funny
Well we'll see who's laughing on Christmas day soon looking out from our telescope here on the moon
