Everyday Nothing
Mass appeal
Don't mean nothing, if you use it in vein
Let me explain, my vanity, if it isn't vain
It's merely a train of thought
That I thought I derailed
I thought I excelled, in letting go
But habits they held
Like this was Nakitomi Tower
They Die Hard
My old mentalities from middle class
Where I tried hard
To face it all it was quite hard
To see it was ingrained
In sheer amounts
The de-programming
Was insane
My hands they started
Tremb-ling
The way that your nerves do
Like cars when they hydroplane
Or planes in a cork screw
I've screwed enough in missteps
Or thinking myself through
Like you threw away a sneeze
Everytime that it blessed you
I didn't ask
Like sudden gasps for breathing
Is called a yawn
I had slept away alarms
For what I'd been called upon
And like a leprechaun
My pot of gold was a farce
'Cause there ain't no rainbows
If the sun after rain is lost
So i had to pay the cost of tuition
If only I had listened, to my intuition
Well, I can't say it was missing
More like it was hissing
And sneaking through the background
Till I paid attention
That every time it came across
A pellet of bad habits, it grew
Just a simple algorithm
I'm passing along to you
The more that you experience
That's how strong that it grows
You ignore it? you'll forever be
Chasing rabbits + holes
So
Don't mean nothing, if you use it in vein
Let me explain, my vanity, if it isn't vain
It's merely a train of thought
That I thought I derailed
I thought I excelled, in letting go
But habits they held
Like this was Nakitomi Tower
