Fruits of Requiem

On the fields of tranquility.tales of granny swayed in the breeze
A tree of Antiquity, on his leaves the dews of time did freeze
I see them all reprise
And it rains in my eyes...
Then on a bright sunny day... the tree bore nascent fruits of innocence
But soon 'twas dark all around, herald winds hailed a change of seasons
The fruits fell like tears of the wise
And it frosts in my eyes...

Like the shadows under a new moon night
The tree lurks in me yearning for a touch of light
With a few truths stabbed right in my back
The blade of father sweats in my hand as I walk

Into the wide blue yonder
Where the sun is tied to a clockwork sky
Like a sore thumb, I wonder
The fruits in me stale with a sigh...

Down the Streams of Infinity, my paper boat sailed on jaded oars
Mazed in a wishful city, it never got to reach the destined shore
Then all the streams vaporized
And it burns in my eyes...
Then on a sultry day, I lost my way and reached a market place
Alongside all the species, they even shelved the Human Race
The stale fruits were quite low in their price
And it's ashes in my eyes...

Absolute void left no breathing choice
My ears got deaf to even the inner voice
Leaves of autumn fell from their state of grace
The herald winds laughed and thrashed to wipe off my face

Across the wide blue yonder
Now all the corners echo a plea
If you can still feel or wonder
Do save a fruit as the Requiem for me...
