Endless Highway

I am mighty tired, I have come a long way
My visions getting weaker, but I don't believe I'll stay
My body feels so dirty, I've been driving night and day
I stare at the horizon, tomorrow, I'll be far away
Riding on this endless highway

The sun's sinking low, going down behind my back
I'm running away and never going back
I left my girl, I left my home
Since that sad day, I've been wandering alone
On and on and on, I roam

A weary traveler on an old highway
Going many a mile to where I can't say
On a long lost journey down this lonesome road
When dark falls around me, I'll ride into the unknown
Tonight I feel the highway in my bones

Forever young, forever free
Roaming around as far as the eye can see
I follow that white line and watch the towns go by
I can free my body, but I can't free my troubled mind
From thinking about the girl I left behind
