So much to be thankful for
May this express my gratitude
Things I didn't earn
Things people did before
People to whom I can always turn

Young days, so full of grace
Love never had a time, but always had people and a place
Decisions which were made, paths rearranged
New ground broken, my start easier made

Ensuring that I won't stray
With parents and teachers, guides and leaders
"Self-made" is a title I won't claim

Family and friends, my pillars of support
