Happy to Be (Where He Was Indeed)

Wayne Pilot was very proud
He was single, didn't need a crowd
His best friend Hector was single too
But unlike Hector, Wayne wasn't blue

He was happy to be where he was indeed
Hector wasn't like that; he wanted a girl real bad

Hector's got the single blues
Wayne told him: hey, I've got some news for you
You don't need a girl to feel alive
Look at me, I'm happy and I can thrive

But one night Hector met a girl at a bar
She was dark but swore to take him far
Now Wayne was all alone
No need for a girl to throw him a bone

He was happy to be where he was indeed
Even though his best friend left him, he figured Hector must be very dim

Hector's no longer got the single blues
No need for Wayne to give him any news
Yet Wayne's still happy for his friend's new grace
Though he didn't agree with Hector's taste

Now one evening Wayne made a friend
A real nice girl, a true godsend
He then asked her to stay with him
If she did, he'd fulfill her every whim

She'd make him happy to be where he was indeed
Now both guys had dates, what do you know, it was fate
I said She'd make him happy to be where he was indeed
Now both guys had dates, what do you know, it was fate
