Life Is Strange

Drives a freight train
Forgets everybody's name
Keep a bible
But he forgets to pray
He's not a traveller
He's just movin' on
He's got theories bout why life slips away

It's been a long time
On the same line
Drives for Burlington Northern Santa Fe
Another long haul
Through the nighttime
He's talking to himself but running out of things to say

And he knows he's not what he used to be
Shakes his head and thinks what happened to me
Well I guess with time that things just change
This thing called life you know is very strange

So he arrives home
To a house covered in cobwebs
And his little town is full of empty stores
All the front yards- they got grass that's overgrown
And the bus is full, the bus is full of the kids not coming home

So he sits there
Right on his front porch
Smokes a cigarette and remembers brighter days
When his old house
It was brand new
And his rusty car didn't have so many miles

And he knows he's not what he used to be
Shakes his head and thinks what happened to me
Well I guess with time that things just change
This thing called life you know is very strange
