We fought so hard for a concept that's lost
A battle that cost so much more than we thought, but not a
Single one of us raised a flag, we forgot
To ask ourselves to just stop, and assess what we got, and now
Empty-handed we stare up at the sun
A new day has begun, but we lost all the fun
Of imagining a world full of magic and hope
