St. Louis Band Blues

The quiet stage is a bare canvas
As we walk into the roo-oo-oom
Weathered wood from weary singers
Singing songs into this too-oo-oo-oomb
Whether we will bring a friend
Or not is prolly better known
To the music making misfits that play another empty room

We politely bring our gear
The other bands begin to "oo-oo-ooo"
Sucker punch our set is cut so
Momma's boys can play times two-oo-oo
One a them comes over asking how we got so far
"We drove," Tuck says, "so when your 16
Learn to drive a car"

Stage is set and now we go to
A real place for foo-oo-ood
Spend ten times more than ticket sales
As long as we are shrew-ew-ewd
We have a laugh and puntunctually head back to watch the bands
We find the good and nod the rest until our time to take a stand

We take the stage as the entire room
Flies quickly into the loo-oo-oo
We start our set for the sound guy
And Andy's favorite, boo-oo-oo
The energy steps up. A few will come back in,
They always say "you guys kill it so why you play a room nobody's in"
You guys kill it so why you play a room nobody's in
You guys kill it so why you play a room nobody's in
